One of Melbourne's most respected legal authorities, David joined Madgwicks as a partner in January 2010. Appointed one of Her Majesty's Counsel in 1996, David has worked on some of Australia's most high profile and complex corporate and criminal cases.

Possessing renowned expertise in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, David is regularly called upon to provide comment and expert opinion across a broad range of topics including corporate governance, human rights, privacy and superannuation regulation.

His practice includes:

  • Providing advice on corporate compliance, as well as commercial and trade practices
  • Representing companies and individuals in ASIC inquiries and public examinations by liquidators
  • Representing individuals in cases involving breaches of the Corporations Law and Income Tax Act
  • Involvement with mediation, negotiations and administrative and disciplinary tribunals
  • Providing corporate advice to some of Australia's largest sporting clubs and governing bodies, as well as entertainment corporations

David is involved in sporting, company and charity administration, and Chairman of the board of an Industry superannuation fund. David also sits on the board of a publicly listed clean energy company, is Vice President of Alzheimer's Australia Vic and Chairman of the Centre for Hormone Research at the Children's Hospital.
