Our experience in the Energy area includes:

  • Advising one of Madgwicks' major energy clients on documentation, corporate and operational issues relating to the development and network connection of power stations in Western Australia, South Australia and New South Wales;
  • Advising and negotiating terms for the construction and operation of large scale wind energy farms, totaling approximately $2 billon in value, in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand;
  • Advising a large listed manufacturing company on retail gas supply and gas transportation arrangements for large industrial facilities in Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania;
  • Providing corporate, construction law and regulations advice, negotiating and drawing finance, corporate and project contractual documentation for a major solar energy project;
  • Advising a large multi-national energy business on Power Purchase Agreements involving sale of energy, RECs, NGACs and Green Power Rights; and
  • Documentation and negotiation of ISDA Master Agreements and Schedules for a multi-national electricity generator and retailer.
