A lawyer for over 25 years, Peter has a diverse property and commercial practice with an emphasis on hospitality and tourism. As lead partner of Madgwicks' hospitality and tourism practice, Peter has extensive experience in representing owners, operators, vendors and buyers of hospitality and tourism businesses including caravan parks, motels, serviced apartments, management rights complexes and licensed premises. He is an acknowledged expert on the law relating to caravan parks in Victoria and interstate and on the management rights model of property management. 

Peter also has a thorough knowledge of liquor licensing and gaming law, particularly the gaming regime that is to operate in Victoria from 2012.

In addition to this Peter has many years experience in general commercial law and residential and commercial property development. He has a firm understanding of the law relating to the leasing of commercial properties and Crown land including the Retail Leases Act 2003 and the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978 and regularly advises clients on complex commercial and retail leases and agreements.

Peter also has significant experience in franchising and is lead partner of Madgwicks' Franchising Group. The group has extensive experience acting for franchisors and franchisees across Australia in areas including accommodation, retail, food manufacturing, banking and property.

Peter's focus is always to achieve the best legal and commercial outcome for his clients a testament to which is the fact that his practice comprises many loyal clients of many years standing.

An associate member of the Victorian Caravan Parks Association, Peter is regularly called upon to advise the association and its members on legal issues relating to the operation, acquisition, sale and management of caravan parks. He is also a member of the Franchising Council of Australia.
