Scott Aitken has 16 years experience providing advice on all aspects of residential, retail, commercial, industrial and tourism developments. Scott has experience on all sides of property transactions and has represented government, developers, owners, operators, financiers, landlords, tenants, sellers, buyers and facility managers.

 

As part of his diverse experience, Scott has advised on heritage and environmental matters and a number of significant statutory planning agreements.

 

Having worked overseas for four years, Scott has advised on many major projects in a large number of emerging markets throughout the Middle East and Asia.

 

Scott also has considerable experience in procurement projects and has advised on all facets of procurement including:

 

  • requests for proposals documents
  • the evaluation and assessment of responses
  • negotiations with tenderers leading to selection of a successful tenderer
  • contract documents
  • probity relating to procurement processes.

Prior to entering legal practice, Scott worked in banking for 16 years where he gained significant experience in work-outs and securities enforcement.
