Tim Greenall

Tim is a recognised leader in Workplace Relations advising on all aspects of employment law, enterprise bargaining, equal opportunity and occupational health and safety. He acts for employers, executives and insolvency practitioners in a diverse range of industries. He has over 20 years experience as a commercial lawyer, including two years working in the City of London where he completed a Master of Laws at the London School of Economics.

Tim is an accredited mediator and brings a strategic approach to the resolution of workplace issues and problems. Tim regularly represents clients at Fair Work Australia and the Courts.

Some of Tim's recent experience has included:

  • Advising a large energy generation company on the closure of its regional Victoria facility, the decommissioning of the plant and the redundancy of the workforce;
  • Instigating Supreme Court proceedings to restrain a CEO from joining a competitor in the retail industry;
  • Resisting a log of claims and limiting the operation of a new award in the adult entertainment industry;
  • Defending a major WorkSafe prosecution involving a fatality in the construction industry; and
  • Negotiating numerous executive terminations and golden handshakes.

Tim is a Senior Lecturer in Law and member of the Professional Advisory Board at the La Trobe University Law School. Tim is a Fellow of The Williamson Community Leadership Group and has a wide range of community involvements in the not-for-profit sector.  Tim has served as the Chairman of the Workplace Relations section of the Law Institute of Victoria and regularly presents seminars to industry.
