Are you in charge of distributing funds from an estate to charitable organisations? Or are you looking to set up/advising someone on how to set up a charitable foundation or fundraising foundation? The process for setting up a charitable organisation can be complex and technical. It is important to understand your obligations at the outset to avoid being caught up in red tape.
In this seminar, Tom May, Head of Tax and Cherry Tan, Lawyer will consider the issues in establishing foundations and charitable organisations including:
- Examining the income tax act
- Necessary documentation required
- Dealing with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO); and
- Dealing with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).
Those eligible will also receive 1 CPD point for Substantive Law.
We hope you can join us.
