Our Values

What sets us apart?

We believe that our people and our unique culture, underpinned by our core values, are our competitive advantage.

Our people and culture

Our people are the key to the success of our firm. Their commitment, professionalism and accumulated experience embody our unique culture – a culture that is collaborative, driven by outcomes, and focused on client care.

Our core values

Our core values are at the very heart of this because they reflect our beliefs and who we are – they are the principles we each hold dear, the principles we all have in common, and the principles that motivate each and every one of us at Madgwicks.

We believe our core values are invaluable because they are, in essence, our compass that keeps us all on track:

  • We are easy to work with. We provide advice that clients can understand, delivered in a manner that suits the client, without surprises.
  • We are outcome focused. We provide practical solutions, recommendations, and risk protection strategies focused on an understanding of achieving clients’ desired objectives, in order to achieve the best possible outcomes, in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • We are connected. We proactively look to add value to our client relationship in ways that extend beyond just providing our legal services. Our clients and contacts are a valuable network.

An intrinsic part of our firm’s identity and culture, we believe our values lead to an exceptional experience for clients and employees alike, and have resulted in strong professional and personal relationships with many clients over many years.

Our Clients

We advise local, national and international clients across a broad range of industries, and through our association with Meritas law firms worldwide, we provide local knowledge and international connections.  Our clients are our number one priority and we strive to provide innovative, timely and practical commercial advice to meet their needs and objectives.

Our approach

One of our key focus areas is on developing, nurturing and managing long-term relationships with our clients. We have a deep appreciation and understanding for our clients’ concerns and long-term commercial objectives. To this end, we ensure that we align our service offerings with our clients’ immediate needs and future objectives.

What our clients say about us

“Why Madgwicks? Because of the excellent service we get and the fantastic advice.  And because the lawyers I use, they develop relationships, learn about your business, give you options, and understand what you need. And they don’t treat you like a one size fits all – it never works like that at Madgwicks.”

“A smart firm that knows their way around. You establish a more personal relationship with the people that are there. I’ve dealt with the much larger firms and I’m finding that when we deal with the larger firms we become a number, but with Madgwicks they care about their client. Furthermore, there’s always opportunity for relevant networking or involvement – they seem to be switched on and tuned into where you are right at that time.”
