As the only Australian lawyer appointed to Lexing, an international network of lawyers that specialise in digital and emerging technology law, Dudley is a highly experienced lawyer with international and domestic experience advising on commercial, regulatory and technology matters with specialisations in financial technology (including robo advice), cyber risk, strategic sourcing and supply projects.
Dudley has 20 years of experience practising across Australia, Europe and the UK, and has worked on projects based in a range of countries, including the Philippines, India and across South America
Throughout his career, Dudley has advised a variety of clients on major technology arrangements with companies including Ricoh, AAPT, Telstra, Logica, Wipro, CSC, Brennan IT, IBM, HP, Accenture and Datacom with current clients including AustralianSuper, Softbank Robotics, Barwon Water, MYOB, NTT Data, Rest Industry Super and Programmed Maintenance Services. Dudley’s in-house experience has provided him with a commercial mindset that enables him to develop strategic solutions for businesses and illuminate opportunities that may exist and should be pursued.
In addition to commercial, regulatory and specialised technology matters, Dudley advises a range of technology suppliers on the provision of managed services, hosting, maintenance and support and product and service supply solutions to medium and large Australian-based corporates and government clients.
Dudley is a sought after adviser regarding niche areas of law including privacy law, marketing laws, cyber risk, data security and cyber insurance, including both commercial aspects and legal/regulatory compliance.
Dudley publishes and presents extensively and is part of the LexisNexis regulatory team and a Practical Guidance author for the Cybersecurity module. His ability to bridge the gap between business and technology ensures he is a highly sought after presenter and author.
