The Pat Gillespie Awards are held in honour of Pat Gillespie, Madgwicks’ first Office Manager and a valued and loved employee of the firm for nine years until her death in 1990.
Pat played a critical role early in the firm's operation by encouraging and developing support staff. In recognition of her life and contribution to Madgwicks, the Partners honour her memory through these Awards in December of each year.
The Awards are based on an internal vote that recognises excellence within the Support Staff (Personal Assistants, Law Clerks) and also the Business Services staff (Finance, IT, Marketing, P&C, Office Services) across the firm.
Votes for Award recipients are based on the following attributes:
- Co-operation and helpfulness with fellow workers
- Dedication
- Politeness and courtesy
- Efficiency
- Skill
- Punctuality
- Improvement of skills
Award winners are therefore highly skilled and dedicated employees. They also embody those attributes which make them valuable team players for Madgwicks.
Congratulations to our winners and runners up and to all those who were eligible.
