Madgwicks Partner Marina Papas has been selected to mentor participants in the 'The Business of Sport' Pre Accelerator Program presented by the Australian Sports Technologies Network (ASTN) in partnership with Global Sports Innovation Center (GSIC) powered by Microsoft with support from LaunchVic.

Targeted at startup entrepreneurs and founders who have a technology-based idea, this program widens the scope of sport technologies beyond ‘on the field’ technology to embrace wider applications. The ten-week program will support 60 Victorian entrepreneurs to validate their off-field sportstech business idea whilst learning from mentors across industries including legal, finance, marketing, venture capital as well as founders and leaders of top international and Australian sports businesses.

Pairing industry experts with organisations such as ASTN and GSIC will help prepare early-stage startups for subsequent sports technology accelerator programs and will be offered four times over the coming two years with the intention of strengthening the reach, international standing and reputation of the Australian sports tech startup ecosystem in Victoria.

With extensive experience advising businesses in all stages of operation, Marina is excited to work with a new generation of sports industry entrepreneurs.

By further expanding the scope beyond the traditional ‘on-the-field’ human sports performance technologies to include fitness, wellness and health, the ‘Business of Sport’ pre-accelerator aims to reach a new generation of Victorian sports entrepreneurs.
