On 27 March 2017, Madgwicks moved to Level 6, 140 William Street, Melbourne. Last night, the firm’s Partners, founding members, and The Honourable Justice Simon Whelan, Judge of the Court of Appeal in the Supreme Court of Victoria, officially welcomed clients and colleagues to the firm’s new offices.
“In one form or another, this end of the city has been the home of Madgwicks for the past 45 years, and each of our moves – during that time – has represented a significant step forward for us,” said Peter Kennedy, Partner, Madgwicks.
“Law firms are about staff and clients and I can truly say we have great staff and great clients. To achieve success and growth, an organisation must move with the times. Our new office space provides better facilities with which to run our firm. It will further embrace and integrate new technologies which will help meet the needs and expectations of our clients. Most importantly, however, it provides our employees and clients alike with an enhanced and more comfortable environment in which to work.”
The Honourable Justice Simon Whelan, who officially opened the new offices said: “I remember working with Madgwicks when it was a small firm back in the 70s. What impresses me most is that a large number of lawyers who were part of the firm back then are still here – that in itself is a testament to the firm. Congratulations Madgwicks on your growth and this latest move.”
The past year has been an exciting and significant one with Madgwicks experiencing strong growth and increased demand for its services. The firm’s move to new, larger and more modern premises is a true reflection of the strength the firm holds in a competitive market.
